You may study online with our exam preparations. The costs for these study tools are $39.99 for only the exam prep or $49.99 for the exam prep and the glossary. It is good for 30 days of study time from the date first opened and it is available 7 days a week.
Live exam preps are held several times a month for both Life & Health and Property & Casualty. They begin at 9:00 and end at 4:00. The cost of each class is $20.00 CASH at the door for in-house students (no checks, no credit cards). You will also need to present your pink receipt that you were given at the time of enrollment. If you are an online pre-licensing student, the cost is $69.00. If you ARE NOT a LyteSpeed Student, the fee for a Live Exam Prep is $125.00. In order to get your license, you will need to schedule and take your exam before applying for your license. In order to get the process started, please follow the steps below:
You must register on PSI's website (www.psiexams.com.) to get a test date and pay $37 or $67 for your exam, depending where you go (PSI locations are $67 and CDI locations are $37). After registering, you will be able to schedule for your exam. There are seats available every business day (Monday-Friday) and you will have the option to choose from two different times; AM or PM. (seats at PSI locations are limited, so sign up as soon as you can).
Once you have taken your test and passed, you can CLICK HERE to get to the Department of Insurance's FLASH Application Service and start filling out your application. (You will need your California ID number given to you on your exam score sheet, the day you pass your exam.)
The application fee is $140.00 per license(Credit Card Only). Also, when applying for the two major licenses, make sure to check both licenses that apply to that major license. For example, for the Life & Health license, make sure to check Life Only and Accident & Health on the application. Same goes for the Property and Casualty (Check Property Broker-Agent and Casualty Broker-Agent).
For a $10 fee, LyteSpeed can schedule your exam. If you want us to process your application, there is a $25 fee. This service is done by appointment only. Please call us at 818-905-5123 to schedule.
Before taking your exam, remember that you will need to take fingerprints. For your convenience, we offer Livescan services at our location in Encino, whose address is listed above.
