Property and Casualty Insurance Continuing Education Courses

Continuing education courses are required every two years for those hoping to maintain their property and casualty insurance license. Those with a P&C license are required to complete 24 total hours in continuing education coursework, of which 21 is in P&C related topics and an additional 3 are related to ethics.

You are allowed to take 21 hours of almost any courses that interest you as long as it has been approved by the state as a continuing education course for P&C license holders. You can mix and match, choosing the courses you’d find most useful.

Please note

Some courses are required to sell specific products. For example, those planning on selling homeowners insurance will have to complete a mandatory 4 hour course in homeowner’s valuation.
